WIP report

I have gone a little over board on my knitting again.  I am posting this progress report to remind me to stop casting on new things!

14 projects, not my worst, but I need to down grade!

My Fabulous Weekend!

This weekend was Retreat!  We had such a blast and Tina H, we love you and thanks for the fabulous time.  Rita, we love you too and thank you as well for all your hard work!

Here are some highlights of the weekend, if you would like to see more check out the Yarn Today Blog.

It was a fabulous weekend.  Next year girls, don’t let me sit on a chair without back support for 3 days straight!  I am currently paying for it.  My back doesn’t like me much now!

Hand Dyed Scarfs

Here are Kami’s and my scarfs from the class.

Great Basin Fiber Arts Fair

Kami and I went to Great Basin Fiber Arts fair this weekend.  We both got new drop spindles from Greensleeves Spindles, and lots of roving!

Kami and I dyed some scarfs, and I also did some socks too.  They are still in the dye bath and I get to rinse them shortly so no pictures yet.

After our class Eric came and got us and we went to his parents place.  Where we did  phott shoot of our loot and had some dinner until Jon came and picked up Kami.

My Loot

My Loot

I purchased some Skunk from Notlwonk Springs Farm, 3 balls of Blue Face Leister from Jucy Jackson, 2 balls of Corridale from Judy Gunn, 1 braid BFL from Greenwood Fiberworks and a ball of my favorite sock yarn.  We also received a skein of yarn for participating in the wool walking.

Kami got a new spindle, 2 balls of wool from Judy Jackson, and a ton of white from Notlwonk Springs.  She also got a free skein from the wool walking.

We had a great day and loved every minute of it!

A Quick Update and a cute story

Emma started school on Monday and loves it.  My camera cord is missing so I will post the pictures when I find it.  Life is still insane even with cutting back my hours.  Even though I love the farmer’s market, I am looking forward to it’s end.  One more month to go.

Today when Eric was driving me to work Sam wanted her binky and we didn’t have one.  Here is how Eric’s conversation went:

S:  Bink, bink

E:  Does Emma have a binky?

S:  No

E:  Does Mommy have a binky?

S:  No

E:  Does Daddy have a binky?

S:  No

E: Can Sammie be like us and be without a binky?

S:  (After a little thought)  No! (Yes there was a definite explanation mark after that no)

Weaning this baby from the binky will not be easy!
